These 6 ALDI Finds Won "Product of the Year"—They're Some of My Favorites

I add many of these products to my shopping cart all the time.

I’m a bona fide ALDI nerd, so when several of ALDI’s products ended up on the “2025 Products of the Year” list, I was not at all surprised to see six of my favorite finds on the list—in fact, I would have “specially selected” them myself.

The Products of the Year competition is the largest consumer-voted award for product innovation. It’s been going on for about three decades, and some 40,000 American shoppers decide which innovative products make the cut. Everything from snacks and wine to household and pet products is reviewed, and several ALDI products made the cut. Six of the eight ALDI winners have frequently found their way into my quarter-laden cart.

6 Must-Try Foods From ALDI’s Products of the Year List

A bag of Savortiz Parmesan Cheese Crisps

Simply Recipes / Aldi

1. Savoritz Cheese Crisps ($2.65)

The first on the list is Savoritz Cheese Crisps, which cost just $2.65 for a two-ounce bag. I’ve used these cheese crackers on so many cheese and charcuterie boards. Made of just Parmesan cheese (that’s it!), these crumbly little bites of heaven are crispy and crunchy. I also love adding them to salads instead of croutons, but mostly, I snack on them. They’re fun to dunk in dips, too.

2. Specially Selected Premium Cookie Dough ($3.85)

Specially Selected Premium Cookie Dough is one of my son’s all-time favorite ALDI finds. He’s kind of a cookie dough fiend and, much to my distaste, he will eat this pound of cookie dough straight from the package if I’m not looking.

A $3.85 package makes a dozen cookies. This product is great to have on hand if you have guests coming over at the last minute, or a bunch of teenage boys stopping by to study for their exams. They’re chocolatey, caramelly, and just so delicious. If you want to get fancy, you can bake them and make ice cream sandwiches, but I find them perfect as-is, fresh out of the oven.

Simply Nature dark chocolate covered freeze-dried strawberries packaging

3. Simply Nature Chocolate Covered Freeze Dried Fruit ($4.99)

Another dessert favorite that made the list? Simply Nature Chocolate Covered Freeze Dried Fruit. My husband, our son, and I could each eat an entire four-ounce bag ($4.99 each) if we’re not careful. Freeze-dried strawberries by themselves are really good, but when you dunk them in dark chocolate, they become divine. We usually eat them by themselves, but they can also be used to dress up charcuterie boards, and they taste really good over ice cream.

4. Kirkwood Chicken Nuggets ($5.89)

Kirkwood Chicken Nuggets—or, as my son calls them, “chicken nuggies—are another family favorite. A 29-ounce bag costs only $5.89, these nuggies are our go-to for quick dinners, lunches, and sometimes afternoon snacks. They’re best prepared in an air fryer, but if you don’t have one, a microwave will also do the trick. I recommend pairing them with ALDI’s Burman Chicken Sauce, which is a perfect Chick-fil-A dupe.

Packaging of Specially Selected Wild Caught Snow Crab Clusters with lemon wedges and sauce

Simply Recipes / Aldi

5. Specially Selected Snow Crab Legs ($18.69)

One of my favorite special-occasion products was also a winner this year. Almost every Christmas, I make a surf and turf dinner. For the surf, I often choose Specially Selected Snow Crab Legs. At $18.69 for a two-pound bag, they’re pricier than most other seafood selections at ALDI, but they're totally worth it. I usually just boil them with a mix of spices, then serve them with melted butter and lemon wedges. They’re really messy to eat, but very good.

A bottle of sparkling rosé wine from ALDI's collection, simple and elegant design

Simply Recipes / Aldi

6. Specially Selected Sparkling Rosé ($10.99)

Lastly, I was not at all surprised that the Specially Selected Sparkling Rosé ended up a winner. This $10.99 bottle of sparkling rosé hails from France. It’s dry, bubbly, and perfect for sipping on a warm spring or summer evening on the patio. I like pairing it with ALDI’s fresh salmon, but it also tastes great with potato chips. It’s definitely a bottle I enjoy sharing with friends.
