It's worth clearing space in the freezer.

When it comes to pizza, my tastes span a broad spectrum. I'm not a purist by any definition, and I don't claim to be an expert. Pizza should be simple, with a blend of flavors and a satisfying bite. Beyond that, it's up to the pizza eater to decide which style, brand, or restaurant is right for them.

Over the years, I've found love in the form of frozen, store-bought pizza on a few occasions. And while some brands may lead you to believe that no frozen variety can hold a candle to their product, I'd like to remind everyone of the undeniable appeal of ALDI's Mama Cozzi's Thin & Crispy Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto Pizza

Why I Love Mama Cozzi's Thin & Crispy Frozen Pizza

If fresh frozen ingredients married affordable prices, Mama Cozzi's would be their love child. And while I can admit that not every pizza created under Mama Cozzi's name is a hit, this one absolutely is. This pie sports a 12-inch diameter and just the right amount of toppings, and it retails for only $2.99.

I was immediately impressed by its satisfying crunch from the crispy yet sturdy crust. As a fan of all things pesto, I couldn't have fallen more in love with the presence of pesto in each bite. This pie comes packed with iconic ingredients and a classic thin crust, and it had me heading back to ALDI to pick up another one upon finishing.

Tips for Making Mama Cozzi's Thin & Crispy Frozen Pizza

While this pizza is large enough to feed up to two people, I had no problem devouring the whole thing on my own. The best part of all, it's extremely easy to cook. Pop it in an oven preheated to 425°F for 10 to 12 minutes, then dig in after letting it cool for a few minutes.

If you want to elevate the frozen pizza experience, scatter some fresh mozzarella over the ingredients. Follow that up with a dusting of shredded mozzarella cheese. Next, layer on some pepperoni and fresh basil before tossing the pizza in the oven. Once the pizza is cooked, add a final dusting of freshly ground parmesan cheese before digging in.

Mama Cozzi's Thin & Crispy Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto Pizza is one of those low-effort, high-reward meals that just delivers.
