This $2.99 ALDI Find Pays for Itself—It's a Game-Changer

I am the only person in my house who drinks wine, so I often end up wasting good wine, especially wine with bubbles (a crime).

I've solved part of that problem by using a wine-preserving gas so that after I open a bottle to enjoy a glass, I can recork it without fear of the wine oxidizing before I can enjoy another glass.

But this doesn't work well with sparkling wines. Regular wine stoppers don't work, as the bubbles escape and I often end up with fizzled wine. Luckily, I found a solution to this conundrum in ALDI's aisle of specials.

What's So Great About Crofton's Champagne Seal

For only $2.99, Crofton Champagne Seal is an absolute steal. I got a champagne seal years ago at a fancy winery, and then, unfortunately, I ended up losing it.

Crofton's tool is just as good as the $15 stoppers you can find at fancy kitchen gear stores. I'm so, so grateful I found this in the AOS section at my local ALDI. 

How A Champagne Seal Works

This tool preserves the effervescence of champagnes and other sparkling wines. I spritz a little of my wine preserver, ArT Preserver, and then pop on the champagne seal. That's it.

You don't have to add any wine preservative gas to the bottle if you don't want to. Pop open the cork, pour a glass, then pop on the champagne sealer.

The seal itself is like a cork, but it's specially made for sparkling wines. If you put a regular stopper on an opened bottle of sparkling wine, the bubbles will fizzle out because it's not sealed tightly enough.

The Crofton Champagne seal, however, works to seal it tightly enough to keep the bubbles inside the wine. It's super simple to use: just put the stopper on top of the bottle, press down, then hold the lower part of the seal while you turn the upper part.

What I love about this tool is that it means I can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine with my meal, then seal it, and in a few days, enjoy another glass of wine without it going bad.

That means I get to enjoy more bubbles this spring and summer, so cheers to ALDI.
